Varancha Reserve Fetească Neagră — a Moldovan dry red built on Fetească Neagră, the indigenous Black Maiden grape, in the Reserve tier of the Varancha lineup. Dark fruit and earthy spice; an indigenous-varietal expression at premium tier.

Heritage: Fetească Neagră — Black Maiden — is an ancient indigenous red grape cultivated in Moldova and Romania for centuries. It is one of the few truly local Eastern European red varieties, distinct from the international Cabernet/Merlot family. The Reserve tier in the Varancha lineup denotes extended cellar attention and select-vineyard sourcing.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Dark plum and black cherry on the nose with hints of dried herbs and smoke. Medium-to-full body with smooth tannins and a long savory finish.

Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with sarmale, mămăligă cu brânză, grilled lamb, or aged sheep's-milk cheese.
