Heritage: Montmorency cherries — the original French sour cherry variety — are used worldwide for cherry-pie filling and cherry liqueurs because of their balance of acid and sweetness. Nero's anniversary production line uses the Montmorency character for a richer, sweeter cherry liqueur than the dry distilled Maraschino style.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Pronounced ripe cherry aroma with a soft almond-pit undertone. Sweet, fruit-forward palate with a smooth balanced finish.
