Heritage: Banjalučka Pivara has been brewing Nektar in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1873. The brewery survived two world wars, the Yugoslav era, and the 1990s conflict to remain the country's most recognized beer brand and a symbol of regional persistence.
Tasting notes: Pale gold with a quick-falling white head. Soft malt and grain bread on the nose. Clean, refreshing palate; crisp dry finish.
Pairing: Serve well chilled. Classic with ćevapi, pljeskavica, sudžukice, smoked kulen, or a casual Balkan grill.
