Stobi Merlot Vintage 2019 — a Macedonian dry red built on Bordeaux's signature varietal, vintage 2019. Soft plum and cherry character; a modern-classic Macedonian interpretation of Merlot from the Tikveš wine region.
Heritage: Stobi Winery takes its name from the ancient Roman city near Gradsko in central North Macedonia. The Tikveš wine region around the winery is one of the country's sunniest and most established grape-growing areas, producing varietal Merlot alongside the indigenous Vranec that anchors Macedonian red wine.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Soft plum and cherry aromas with a smooth approachable character. Medium-bodied palate with mellow tannins and a balanced finish.
Pairing: Serve at room temperature. Excellent with pasta dishes, light poultry, kebapi, or aged hard cheese.
