Plantaže Crnogorski Krstač — Montenegro's flagship indigenous white grape, dry and Mediterranean-leaning. Bright citrus, stone fruit, and the mineral character of vines grown on Adriatic karst.

Heritage: Plantaže is Montenegro's largest winery, operating the country's flagship vineyards near Lake Skadar. Krstač — the little-cross grape, named for the cross-shaped pattern on its ripening berries — is the country's signature white, grown almost exclusively in Montenegro.

Tasting notes: Pale straw color. Citrus blossom, white peach, and a faint Mediterranean herb note on the nose. Crisp, light-bodied palate with refreshing acidity and a clean mineral finish.

Pairing: Serve well chilled. Excellent with grilled white fish, scampi, fresh cheese, or a plate of olives.
