Melanie Gingerbread Bakers Dream, Latvian Pastry 500g (1.1lb)
Melanie Gingerbread Baker's Dream is a 500g ready-to-bake Latvian gingerbread mix — everything needed to create fragrant, warmly spiced gingerbread cookies at home, filling the kitchen with the aromas that are central to the Baltic Christmas baking season. Melanie is a Latvian confectionery and baking brand, and this mix reflects the deep piparkūkas tradition that Latvia and its Baltic neighbours have maintained for generations — gingerbread baking is as much a part of the Latvian Christmas as the decorated fir tree itself. In Latvia, making piparkūkas together is a beloved December family ritual, with cut-out cookies shaped into stars, trees, and figures that are decorated with white icing and shared with neighbours, friends, and guests throughout Ziemassvētki. Use the mix to bake classic cut-out gingerbread cookies, cool completely before decorating with white icing, and set out as the Baltic Christmas spread that smells exactly as it should.
