Moto biscuits showed up on every Croatian tea tray — a stack of cocoa-cream wafers next to the good cups, saved for when guests came by. Made by Kraš d.d. of Zagreb — Southeast Europe's oldest chocolate maker, running since 1911 — these tea biscuits are filled with 28% cocoa cream over a wheat-flour, palm-oil, and cocoa-powder base, in a 288g (10.2oz) pack; they contain wheat and milk, and may contain peanuts, hazelnuts, and soya. Eat them straight from the pack, or dunk them in coffee the way they're meant to be eaten. Serve with a small cup of Turkish coffee for the full ritual.
