Badel 1862, founded in Zagreb in 1862, bottles the commercial Croatian expression — the Balkan answer to Alsatian poire Williams.
Tasting notes: Crystal-clear. Pronounced ripe Williams pear aroma with hints of pear-skin and orchard blossom. Smooth, gently warming palate; clean fruit-driven finish.
Pairing: Serve well chilled in a small glass as a digestif. Excellent with walnut povitica, baklava, vanilla sladoled, or alongside Turkish coffee.
