This is Appel's tender MSC herring fillets in a tomato-barbecue cream with a delicate ham note, from Appel Feinkost of Cuxhaven, in a 200 g (7.05 oz) tin. Open the tin, lift the fillets out with their sauce, and serve them cold on dark bread or beside boiled potatoes. Back home it goes with Delba Whole Rye Bread, German Style 475g (16.8oz) — on our shelf as well.
