Swisslion-Takovo of Serbia still makes the original recipe, a milk, cocoa, and hazelnut duo cream in a 1 kg (2.2 lb) tub, from a confectionery house whose Takovo roots reach back to socialist-era Yugoslavia. Store it at around 20°C away from direct sunlight and it keeps its soft, spoonable texture. Spread it on Jami somun from our freezer and you are eight years old again.
