Rubin Bear's Blood (Medveđa krv) — a semi-sweet Serbian red built in the Yugoslav tradition of dark, full-bodied table reds. Soft, juicy, gently sweet; a Balkan answer to the Hungarian Bikavér style.
Heritage: Rubin AD has been distilling and bottling in Kruševac since 1955, and is one of Serbia's oldest spirits and wine houses. Bear's Blood follows the same dark-table-wine tradition that produced Egri Bikavér across the Hungarian border — a regional style of robust, accessible reds.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby with a violet rim. Ripe black cherry, plum, and a touch of dried fig on the nose. Medium-bodied palate with gentle sweetness and a clean fruit finish.
Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with grilled meats, sarma, gibanica, or aged hard cheese.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Store on its side in a cool, dark place.
