Growing up in Bosnia or Croatia, an afternoon rarely went by without a package of Frondi wafers on the table — the crisp bite and vanilla cream is the taste of school breaks and grandma's kitchen cupboard. Made under license from Kraš of Zagreb by MIRA d.o.o., part of the Kraš Group, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, these wafers are built from wheat flour, sugar, and real vanilla extract (0.06%) layered into a light vanilla cream, 250g (8.8oz); contains milk, soya, and wheat, and may contain hazelnuts. Eat them straight from the pack, no prep needed. Pour a small cup of Turkish coffee alongside — that's how the wafer is meant to be eaten back home.
