Kandit d.o.o. of Osijek, Croatia has made them since 1920 from sugar, glucose syrup, and natural menthol crystal, coloured green with chlorophyll extract, in a 100g (3.5oz) bag; may contain traces of milk, nuts, peanuts, eggs, soybeans, and gluten. Unwrap one and let it dissolve slowly on the tongue. Keep a few loose next to the Turkish coffee service for when someone needs to clear their throat between cups.
