The cherry version was the one kids fought over in the snack aisle, dark jam peeking through a shell of cocoa coating. Made by Makprogres (the family company behind Vincinni) in North Macedonia, this 250g (8.81oz) cake layers a wheat-and-egg sponge with a cherry jam and cherry-cream filling under a cocoa coating (min. 15% cocoa); it contains wheat, egg, soy, and milk, and may contain traces of hazelnut. Eat it straight from the wrapper as a snack. Pair it with a small cup of Turkish coffee for the afternoon break.

Ingredients

Cocoa coating: sugar, fully hydrogenated vegetable fat (soy, palm), cocoa powder (min. 15%), emulsifier (soy lecithin), flavoring (vanilla). Cherry jam (5%): sugar, fruit paste (cherry 20%, apple 15%), glucose syrup, acidity regulator (citric acid), thickener (pectin), preservative (potassium sorbate), flavoring (cherry). May contain traces of hazelnut.
