Logodaj Melnik 55 Early — a Bulgarian dry red made from the Melnik 55 grape, a modern Bulgarian crossing of the indigenous Broadleaf Melnik with Valdiguié. Vibrant red-fruit aromatics with subtle spice; an indigenous-modern hybrid.
Heritage: Melnik 55 was developed in the 1960s as an earlier-ripening alternative to the traditional Shiroka Melnishka Loza (Broadleaf Melnik), the signature grape of southwestern Bulgaria's Melnik wine region. Logodaj bottles in this style for the modern Bulgarian market.
Tasting notes: Bright ruby color. Red fruit aromas with subtle spicy undertones. Medium-bodied palate with smooth tannins and a fresh fruit-driven finish.
Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with grilled meats, kebapcheta, sirene cheese, or hearty stews.
