Badel 1862 Plavac Hvar Dry Red, Croatian Wine 750ml (25.4fl oz)
Badel 1862 Plavac Hvar — a Croatian dry red sourced from the sun-drenched slopes of Hvar island, Croatia's longest Adriatic island. Robust dark fruit, Mediterranean herb edge, and the maritime character of island-grown Plavac.
Heritage: Badel 1862 has been making spirits and wine in Zagreb since 1862. Its Plavac Hvar bottling sources from the eponymous Adriatic island, where Plavac Mali grapes grown on stony, sun-baked vineyards produce structured reds with distinctive maritime salinity.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Robust cherry and plum on the nose with Mediterranean herb edge and a hint of Adriatic salt. Full-bodied palate with grippy tannins and a long finish.
Pairing: Decant before serving at cellar temperature. Classic with grilled lamb, pašticada, aged Paški sir, or Slavonian kulen.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Store on its side in a cool, dark place.
