About Bambi
Bambi a.d. was founded in 1967 in Požarevac, Serbia, with roots tracing to the Italian Plasmon biscuit tradition — company co-founder Petar Tutavac brought the craft back after Heinz's 1963 acquisition of Plasmon led to factory layoffs. In 1968, Bambi launched Plazma, its whole-grain biscuit that became the single most recognised food brand in Serbia and a household staple across the former Yugoslavia. The company grew to produce 110–120 tonnes of biscuits per day, expanding into wafers, savoury snacks (Josh!), whole-grain Wellness integral biscuits, and the Zlatni Pek line of fasting biscuits. In 2019, Coca-Cola HBC acquired Bambi from private equity firm Mid Europa Partners for €260 million, integrating it into Coca-Cola HBC's snacking portfolio while maintaining production in Požarevac. Today Bambi's brands dominate Serbian confectionery and ship across the Western Balkans and diaspora markets. Headquarters: Serbia. Founded 1967. Official site: bambi.rs.
