Monastery Tvrdos Grape Brandy, Bosnian Rakija 750ml (25.4fl oz)
Monastery Tvrdoš Grape Brandy — a Bosnian grape rakija from the Tvrdoš Orthodox monastery near Trebinje, where viticulture and distillation date to the fifteenth century. Refined, traditional, and monastic; spirit from one of Europe's longest-active wine-and-rakija-producing monasteries.
Heritage: The Monastery Tvrdoš in Herzegovina has been making wine and rakija continuously since the fifteenth century, when Orthodox monks first cultivated vineyards in the surrounding karst hills. The monastery's stone cellars have been in continuous use since then. Their grape brandy bottles the monastic tradition of slow, careful distillation built over centuries of practice.
Tasting notes: Crystal-clear. Pronounced grape aroma with a hint of dried fruit. Smooth, warming palate with controlled heat and a clean fruit-driven finish.
Pairing: Serve neat at room temperature as a welcome drink or digestif. Classic with cured meats, pršut, kajmak, aged hard cheese, or alongside Turkish coffee.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Store upright in a cool, dark place.
