Takovo Original Dunja — a Serbian quince rakija from central Šumadija orchards. Distinctively perfumed, faintly honeyed, and unmistakably quince; the most aromatic of the orchard rakijas.
Heritage: Dunjevača — quince rakija — is one of the regional cousins of šljivovica, distilled from ripe autumn quince in the same village-still tradition. The fruit gives the most floral and complex aromatic profile of all the Serbian fruit rakijas; Takovo bottles in this style from its central Šumadija base.
Tasting notes: Light golden hue. Pronounced quince aroma with floral and stone-fruit notes. Silky palate with gentle warmth and a long aromatic finish.
Pairing: Sip neat at room temperature as a digestif. Excellent with aged hard cheese, walnut torte, or alongside Turkish coffee.
