Takovo Viljamovka — a Serbian Williams pear brandy from the Takovo distillery, distilled from Williams Bon Chrétien pears. Aromatic, refined, and uniquely pear-forward; one of the most distinctive expressions in the Serbian rakija family.
Heritage: Viljamovka — the Serbian name for Williams pear brandy — captures the aromatic intensity of Williams Bon Chrétien pears in distilled form. Among Serbian rakija categories, viljamovka stands apart for its perfumed orchard-fruit character, distinct from the more common šljivovica (plum) and loza (grape) traditions. The Takovo distillery, based in central Serbia, bottles in the classic style.
Tasting notes: Crystal-clear. Pronounced ripe pear aroma with a hint of orchard blossom. Smooth, gently warming palate; clean fruit-driven finish with pear-skin notes.
Pairing: Serve neat at room temperature as a digestif. Excellent with walnut povitica, baklava, aged hard cheese, or after a hearty meal.
