Zlatan Otok
About
Zlatan Otok, meaning "golden island," is a highly respected Croatian winery founded in 1986 by fisherman Zlatan Plenković. Located on the challenging southern slopes of Hvar, the winery played a pivotal role in the rebirth of private winemaking in post-communist Croatia, being only the second private winery established after independence. They are renowned for crafting concentrated and powerful wines from native grapes like Plavac Mali, grown organically in extreme coastal conditions. Their top cuvées, such as Zlatan Plavac Grand Cru and Crljenak, are highly awarded and sought after by those who appreciate authentic Dalmatian wines.
