Vukoje Hercegovačka Žilavka 2018 Bosnian White Wine 750ml (25.4fl oz)
Vukoje Žilavka 2018 — a Herzegovinian dry white wine from Vukoje 1982, made from the indigenous Žilavka grape. Crisp, mineral, and karst-driven; the signature white varietal of Mostar and the wider Neretva valley.
Heritage: Podrumi Vukoje 1982, founded in Trebinje in 1982, is one of Herzegovina's most decorated wineries — over 150 gold medals including top accolades at AWC Vienna and from the Italian Sommelier Association. Žilavka is Bosnia and Herzegovina's indigenous white grape, grown on stony karst hillsides above the Neretva and Trebišnjica rivers, where intense sun and limestone soils concentrate the variety's mineral-driven character.
Tasting notes: Pale gold. Crisp orchard fruit and stone-mineral nose with floral lift. Medium-bodied palate with fresh acidity and a clean mineral finish.
Pairing: Serve well chilled. Excellent with grilled Adriatic seafood, hercegovački sir iz mijeha (cheese in lambskin), škampi na buzaru, or roasted chicken with herbs.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Vintage 2018. Store on its side in a cool, dark place.
