Mimosia Fetească Neagră — a Moldovan dry red built on Fetească Neagră, one of the most distinctive indigenous grapes of the Romanian-Moldovan wine border. Dark fruit and earthy spice; a varietal expression unique to this corner of Europe.
Heritage: Fetească Neagră — Black Maiden — is an ancient indigenous red grape cultivated in Moldova and Romania for centuries. It is one of the few truly local Eastern European red varieties, distinct from the international Cabernet/Merlot family, with a profile closer to Pinot Noir but with darker fruit and more savory character.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby with garnet edges. Dark plum and black cherry on the nose with a hint of dried herbs and smoke. Medium-to-full body with smooth tannins and a long savory finish.
Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with sarmale, mămăligă cu brânză, grilled lamb, or aged sheep's-milk cheese.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Store on its side in a cool, dark place.
