Heritage: Tikveš is North Macedonia's largest and most historic winery, founded in 1885 in the Tikveš region around Kavadarci — a sun-baked basin in the central south of the country where wine has been made since antiquity. Smederevka, once one of the most planted whites across the former Yugoslavia, is the everyday white grape of the region.

Tasting notes: Pale straw with green hints. Lemon zest, green apple, and a touch of white-flower aromatics on the nose. Crisp, light-bodied palate with refreshing acidity and a clean finish.

Pairing: Serve well chilled. Excellent with grilled fish, šopska salad, ajvar with feta and lavaš, white-meat dishes, or simply as an aperitif on a warm afternoon.
