Dalmacijavino Merlot — a Croatian dry red built on Bordeaux's signature varietal, bottled by the historic Dalmacijavino winery. Soft berry character, medium body, and a clean finish; an accessible Dalmatian table red.
Heritage: Dalmacijavino — meaning Dalmatian wine — has been one of the largest wine producers along the Croatian coast for decades, working with vineyards from Zadar through the Dalmatian hinterland. Merlot has been cultivated alongside Croatia's indigenous varieties since French introductions in the nineteenth century.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Soft red berry on the nose with hints of plum and dried herb. Medium-bodied palate with mellow tannins and a clean finish.
Pairing: Serve at room temperature. Excellent with roasted meats, pasta with red sauce, ćevapi, or aged hard cheese.
