Medea Alazani Valley — a Georgian semi-sweet red from the Kakheti region, made from indigenous Saperavi grapes. Soft, fruit-forward, and gently sweet; an approachable Saperavi expression.
Heritage: The Alazani Valley in Kakheti is the heartland of Georgian winemaking, where grape cultivation goes back several thousand years on the alluvial soils between the Caucasus mountains and the Iori plateau. The Kakheti semi-sweet style is one of Georgia's most recognized wine traditions across the Caucasus diaspora.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Black cherry and ripe forest berry on the nose with a hint of fig. Round, gently sweet palate balanced by lively acidity; clean fruit finish.
Pairing: Serve lightly chilled. Excellent with dessert courses — walnut churchkhela, honey cake, or fresh cherries.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Store on its side in a cool, dark place.
