Vina Laguna Merlot — a Croatian Istrian dry red built on Bordeaux's signature varietal. Soft plum and cherry character; Merlot rendered with Istrian peninsula warmth.
Heritage: Vina Laguna sources from the Istrian peninsula's varied wine appellations, where Adriatic-influenced climate and red-and-white-soil terroir give international varietals a distinctly Istrian character. Merlot has been cultivated alongside the indigenous Malvazija and Teran as part of the region's broader varietal lineup, producing approachable medium-bodied reds.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Soft plum and ripe cherry on the nose with a hint of spice. Medium-bodied palate with smooth tannins and a balanced finish.
Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with pasta, light red meats, grilled chicken, or aged hard cheese.
