Primator Dark Lager — a Czech dark lager from the Náchod brewery in eastern Bohemia. Rich roasted malt, caramel notes, and the smooth creamy finish that defines well-made Bohemian dark beer.
Heritage: Primator brews in Náchod, near the Polish border in eastern Bohemia, in a tradition that runs back to the 19th century. Czech dark lager — tmavé pivo — is the country's other classic style alongside pale pilsner, using kilned darker malts for depth without sacrificing lager-clean drinkability.
Tasting notes: Deep mahogany color with a creamy off-white head. Roasted malt, caramel, and a faint dark-bread note on the nose. Smooth, medium-bodied palate with a clean finish.
Pairing: Serve cool. Classic with goulash, roast pork with dumplings, smoked sausage, or aged hard cheese.
