Darna Orahovac — a Croatian walnut liqueur made the way Istrian villages have made orahovac for generations. Green walnuts steeped in clear spirit, then sweetened and aged into something dark, nutty, and complex; a coastal Croatian classic in a bottle.

Heritage: Orahovac — also called orahovica — is one of Istria's most traditional homemade liqueurs. Village families macerate young green walnuts in rakija around midsummer, then sweeten and rest the infusion through autumn. Darna captures this craft at commercial scale while keeping the homestead character.

Tasting notes: Deep mahogany-brown, almost black. Aromatic walnut, dark caramel, and a faint clove-spice note on the nose. Smooth, moderately sweet palate; rich nut-and-toffee finish that lingers.

Pairing: Serve neat at room temperature or slightly chilled as a digestif. Excellent with walnut povitica, dark chocolate, espresso, or as a pour over vanilla gelato.
