Obolon Zhygulivske Export Lager Beer, Ukrainian 500ml (16.9fl oz)
Obolon Zhygulivske — a Ukrainian export lager built on the Soviet-era Zhigulyovskoye style that has defined Eastern European lager for generations. Crisp, lightly hoppy, and easy to drink.
Heritage: Obolon is Ukraine's largest brewery, founded in 1980 on the banks of the Dnipro in Kyiv. Zhigulyovskoye — Zhygulivske in Ukrainian — originated in the 1930s and became the standard lager of the entire Soviet bloc, a recipe that survived the era and remains beloved across the region.
Tasting notes: Pale gold with a quick-falling white head. Soft malt and grain bread on the nose with a faint floral hop note. Clean, lightly bitter palate; crisp dry finish.
Pairing: Serve well chilled. Classic with salo, Ukrainian sausages, varenyky, pickled vegetables, or simply a slab of dark bread.
Pack: 500ml bottle. Store cold; consume fresh — lager doesn't improve with age.
