Stara Sokolova Kajsija — a Serbian apricot brandy from the Old Falcon distillery, capturing orchard fruit in distilled form. Aromatic and uniquely apricot-forward; one of the rarer Serbian rakija expressions.
Heritage: Stara Sokolova has been crafted by the Bogdanović family across seven generations in the Mačva region of western Serbia. Apricot rakija (kajsijevača) is one of the more aromatic Serbian fruit distillates, traditionally distilled from ripe summer apricots from the central and western Serbian orchards.
Tasting notes: Crystal-clear. Pronounced ripe apricot aroma with hints of stone fruit and orchard blossom. Smooth, refined palate; clean fruit-driven finish.
Pairing: Serve neat at room temperature as a digestif or welcome drink. Excellent with walnut povitica, baklava, aged hard cheese, or alongside Turkish coffee.
