Stara Sokolova Grape Brandy VSOP — the Old Falcon distillery's grape rakija aged to VSOP standards, oak-rested for richness and depth. A premium loza-style spirit; cognac discipline applied to Serbian grape distillate.
Heritage: Stara Sokolova — Old Falcon — is one of Serbia's flagship rakija houses, based in the Mačva region around Šabac. VSOP — Very Superior Old Pale — designates a longer barrel rest, traditionally four years or more, that yields rounder fruit and deeper oak character than entry-level grape brandies.
Tasting notes: Deep amber color. Aroma of dried fruit, vanilla, and oak with a faint plum-skin lift. Full, warming palate; restrained heat and a long, layered finish.
Pairing: Sip neat at room temperature in a tulip glass as a digestif. Excellent with dark chocolate, dried figs, or a small piece of aged Paški sir.
