Heritage: Vranac — Black Stallion — is Montenegro's signature indigenous red grape, anchoring the country's wine identity in the way Vranec does for North Macedonia (a close varietal relative). Plantaže works the country's flagship vineyards near Lake Skadar; the 2010 vintage offers a mature expression with bottle-aged depth.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby with garnet edges. Concentrated dark plum and black cherry on the nose with notes of dried herbs and tobacco. Full-bodied palate with developed tannins and a long savory finish.
