Umberto Cesari Costa Di Rose — an Italian Sangiovese Rubicone rosé from one of Emilia-Romagna's most respected wineries. Elegant, light, and refreshing; rosé made for sunny afternoons and casual evenings.
Heritage: Umberto Cesari has been championing the Sangiovese grape since 1964 in Emilia-Romagna, the central Italian region that anchors Sangiovese cultivation outside of Tuscany. The Rubicone IGT designation references the Rubicon river — the historic boundary Julius Caesar crossed in 49 BC — and covers the broader Romagna wine region.
Tasting notes: Pale pink-salmon color. Fresh red fruit and a faint floral note on the nose. Crisp, light-bodied palate with refreshing acidity and a clean finish.
Pairing: Serve well chilled. Excellent with light pasta, antipasti, fresh seafood, prosciutto-and-melon platters, or simply as an aperitif.
