Heritage: Dornfelder was developed in 1955 in Württemberg as a modern German red varietal, intended to produce reliably deep-colored wines in Germany's cooler climate. It is now Germany's second most-planted red grape after Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), commonly used in dry, semi-sweet, and rosé expressions. The 2017 vintage rosé from Wine+ bottles Dornfelder in the pink-wine style.
Tasting notes: Bright pink color. Red berry and cherry aromas with a soft floral lift. Light-bodied palate with refreshing acidity and a clean fruit-driven finish.
