Chimay Unsalted Pasteurized Belgian Butter — Belgian cultured butter in the 250g (8.8oz) foil format, sitting in the Northern European cultured-tang cluster alongside Lurpak Danish and MEGGLE German. Belgian dairy register: cultured-tang, butter-yellow, slow-churn, fold-soft for laminated pastry work. The right baking butter for diaspora pastry — fold into croissant or viennoiserie dough, brush onto burek tops, layer into medovik (Soviet honey cake) batter, work into Šenoa torte sponge. Unsalted lets the baker control salt-level recipe-by-recipe, distinct from the salted French AOP cluster (Camargue, Isigny Sea Salt). The Belgian register is closer in profile to Lurpak Danish than to the southern French AOP terroirs — clean, even, baker-reliable.
