Proshyan Black Kishmish — an Armenian brandy distilled from the country's prized Black Kishmish (Black Sultana) grape variety. Smooth, rounded, and warming; brandy made the old Armenian way, from grapes grown in the volcanic soils around Mount Ararat.

Heritage: Proshyan Brandy Factory was founded in 1885 in Yerevan, one of the country's oldest distilleries. Brandy is woven into the national story — Winston Churchill famously kept a personal supply of Armenian brandy — and the Black Kishmish grape lends a deeper, more raisin-like character than standard cognac-style varieties.

Tasting notes: Rich amber-mahogany. Pronounced dried-raisin nose with notes of fig, oak, and a touch of clove. Velvety palate with controlled warmth and a long, layered finish.

Pairing: Sip neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. Excellent after a hearty meal — basturma, sujuk, lavash with cheese — or alongside dark chocolate and walnuts.
