Tohani Mosia de la Tohani Busuioacă & Merlot Rosé Demidulce — a Romanian semi-sweet rosé blending the indigenous aromatic Busuioacă with international Merlot. Wild-rose and red-fruit aromatics; a uniquely Romanian rosé expression.
Heritage: Busuioacă de Bohotin — Basil of Bohotin — is an aromatic indigenous grape native to the Romanian-Moldovan wine border, prized for its wild-rose and stone-fruit aromatics. Blending Busuioacă with Merlot at Tohani Winery produces a rosé that pairs the indigenous floral lift with international red-fruit depth. The demidulce (semi-sweet) style favors the regional table.
Tasting notes: Pale pink color. Enchanting aroma of wild roses and ripe strawberries with a soft red-fruit underlay. Soft, gently sweet palate with refreshing acidity; clean floral finish.
Pairing: Serve well chilled. Excellent with fruit-based desserts, soft cheeses, light salads, or as a celebratory aperitif.
