Korlat Merlot — a Croatian dry red from Badel 1862's Dalmatian estate. Bordeaux's signature varietal vinified in the Bukovica hinterland above Skradin, where karst limestone soils and sun-warmed days yield a Merlot of depth and structure.
Heritage: Korlat is the estate label of Badel 1862, Croatia's oldest continuously operating drinks company. The vineyards sit in the Bukovica zaleđe above Skradin in Dalmatia, where ample sun, cool nights, and mineral karst soils extend the growing season and concentrate fruit character.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby. Dark cherry and plum on the nose with a hint of dried herb and vanilla oak. Full-bodied palate with smooth, ripe tannins and a long savory finish.
Pairing: Serve at 16-18°C. Excellent with roasted lamb, beef pašticada, hearty pasta with red sauces, or aged sheep's milk cheeses like Paški sir.
Pack: 750ml glass bottle. Contains sulfites. Store on its side in a cool, dark place.
