Illyrian Craft Spirits Visnja Cherry Brandy — a Kosovan craft cherry rakija distilled from ripe summer sour cherries. Aromatic, fruit-driven, and unmistakably visnja; the most distinctive of the Balkan cherry spirits.
Heritage: Visnja — sour cherry — is one of the most cultivated stone fruits in the Balkans, traditionally rendered into rakija from late-summer orchard harvests. Illyrian Craft Spirits draws on the ancient Illyrian regional identity (Kosovo, Albania, and parts of the wider western Balkans), bottling small-batch heritage spirits for modern shelves.
Tasting notes: Clear with faint pink-amber tint. Pronounced sour-cherry aroma with a hint of almond-pit. Smooth palate, gentle warmth, and a clean fruit-driven finish.
Pairing: Sip neat at room temperature as a digestif. Excellent with dark chocolate, baklava, alongside Turkish coffee, or after a Balkan grill.
