Čitluk Blatina Dry Red Wine 750 mL

Vinarija Čitluk Blatina — a Bosnian Herzegovinian dry red built on Blatina, one of Herzegovina's signature indigenous red grapes. Robust, structured, and distinctly Herzegovinian.

Heritage: Blatina is one of the principal indigenous red varieties of Herzegovina, grown across the karst-rocky vineyards around Mostar and Čitluk. It is a so-called functional female grape, requiring co-planting with a pollinator (typically Alicante Bouschet), which gives Blatina-based wines their characteristic deep color and structure. Vinarija Čitluk has been a regional anchor of Herzegovinian winemaking since 1949.

Tasting notes: Deep ruby-violet color. Concentrated dark fruit on the nose with a hint of dried herb and Mediterranean scrub. Full-bodied palate with firm tannins and a long savory finish.

Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with ćevapi, grilled lamb, hearty bean stews, or aged sheep's-milk cheese.
