Heritage: Crama Ceptura sits in Romania's Dealu Mare wine region, one of the country's most established quality areas. Fetească Neagră — Black Maiden — is an ancient indigenous red grape cultivated in Romania for centuries, distinct from the international Cabernet/Merlot family with a profile closer to Pinot Noir but with darker fruit and savory character. The Bucuria (Joy) label bottles at accessible everyday tier.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby color. Dark plum and black cherry on the nose with hints of dried herb and smoke. Medium-bodied palate with smooth tannins and a savory finish.
Pairing: Serve at cellar temperature. Excellent with sarmale, mămăligă cu brânză, grilled lamb, or aged sheep's-milk cheese.
