Żubrówka Bison Grass — Poland's iconic flavored vodka, infused with hand-picked bison grass from the Białowieża Forest. Distinctive yellow-green hue, herbal-vanilla aromatics; one of the most identifiable spirits in the world.
Heritage: Żubrówka takes its name from żubr, the European bison that roams the protected Białowieża Forest on the Polish-Belarusian border. The vodka is infused with hierochloe odorata (sweetgrass / bison grass) picked from the same forest, giving the bottle its signature blade of grass and its characteristic herbal aromatic. The brand has been produced in Poland since the sixteenth century.
Tasting notes: Pale yellow-green color. Pronounced sweetgrass aroma with vanilla, almond, and dried-meadow notes. Smooth, gently sweet palate with a clean herbal finish.
Pairing: Serve ice-cold neat, or in the classic Szarlotka cocktail (with cloudy apple juice). Excellent with smoked fish, pickled herring, pierogi, or as a Polish toast pour.
