Heritage: Malësia — "the highlands" — is a karst-mountain region straddling the Montenegro-Albania border, where Albanian and Slavic highland traditions intermingle around the same grape-distillation craft. Raki rrushi — grape brandy in Albanian — is the local name for the same loza/lozovaca tradition seen across the western Balkans, distilled from pressed grape skins and pulp at small village stills.
Tasting notes: Crystal-clear. Bright grape pomace nose with hints of dried herb and mountain stone. Crisp dry palate with assertive warmth; clean grape-driven finish.
Pairing: Serve neat at room temperature as a welcome drink or digestif, in small generous shots. Excellent with grilled qebapa, aged cheese, dried figs, or alongside Turkish coffee.
